Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your Inner Quest account and all the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways:

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

  1. Sign in to Inner Quest at https://www.innerquest.app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Delete Account section.
  4. Confirm the deletion. Your account and personal data will be removed.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can’t sign in, or you’d rather make the request in writing, email us at inner-quests@googlegroups.com from the email address associated with your Inner Quest account, and include the subject line:

We will verify the request, complete the deletion, and confirm by email — typically within seven days, and never more than thirty days from the request.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we remove:

  • Your profile (name, email, photo) and authentication record.
  • Your journal entries, gratitude entries, breakthroughs, letters, and other written content.
  • Your assessment answers and computed results (MBTI, Big Five, Enneagram, attachment style, values, and others).
  • Your contact list, perception notes about other people, and any comparisons you have run.
  • Your goals, action items, habits, mood logs, body/energy/finance trackers.
  • Your coaching/therapy session notes and homework items.
  • Your AI conversation history and your voice notes/transcriptions.
  • Your linked WhatsApp number, if any.

What may persist after deletion

  • Aggregated, non-identifying analytics(for example, counts like “X assessments completed this month”) may remain in our analytics datasets because we cannot single out an individual’s contribution to an aggregate.
  • Operational logs (server logs, error reports) may retain identifiers for a short time before they are rotated out by our infrastructure provider.
  • Email backups at our email provider may retain a copy of past transactional emails for a limited period defined by that provider.
  • Records we are legally required to keep. If any apply, we will retain only the minimum required and delete the rest.

Third-party services

Some of the data you generate inside Inner Quest passes through third-party services (Google/Firebase, OpenAI, Meta/WhatsApp, ElevenLabs, Deepgram). When you delete your Inner Quest account we delete the records we control on those services. We don’t control how each provider retains transient data on its own systems beyond their stated retention windows. See our Privacy Policy for the full list.
